TThe joke goes “The older you get, the less you know.” I’d like to propose a twist – “The more spiritually aware you get, the less you know.” We are instructed to know thyself and that the way to know God is to know thyself. We want to know the seven steps to gaining spiritual insight. We want to know what’s for dinner. We want to know when our luck will change. There is so much we want to know, but is there space for not knowing? Is there space that we can make in being open to mystery and accepting the beauty of not knowing?
