Talk Title: A Ruby in the Sun Join us as we reflect on biblical passages of unconditional love and on how some of the writing of Rumi reveal the “deep root of our being.” See how Rumi’s poetry connects with the teachings of Jesus to reveal the five basic universal principles of a life well-lived as currently taught by the Unity movement. Together we will let the Light of Divine Love shine in each of us like a “ruby in the sun.” Rev Laura’s updated BIO: Laura is the minister of the online ministry, Unity of the Heartmind and author of the Book, The Language of God: Metagetics and the Bible. She is a third generation Unity minister of 41 years who has served as Senior minister for three ministries in Michigan and Virginia, and currently speaks and teaches for ministries around the country and the world. She is an author, spiritual coach, musician, composer, lover of nature, and facilitator of transformative spiritual education. The one-time Chair of Biblical Studies and Skills for the Unity Movement, Laura is currently working on a doctorate in theology as it applies to personal and relational well-being. She has a knowledgeable, entertaining, and enlightening approach to global scriptures and their traditions, and shares her mystical insights into their effect on our modern-day lives and world. Laura lives and works in Overland Park, Kansas with her husband, Larry, and her cat, Sophia.
