With a youthful nature, love for people, and contagious enthusiasm for making a difference in our world, Laura Barrett Bennett is the Founder and Executive Director of Light of the Mind Academy. Laura is a third generation Unity minister in her 39th year of ministry. She served as Senior Minister in three Unity churches and worked as Chairperson of Biblical Studies on the faculty for the ministerial and adult education programs of Unity worldwide. She authored the book The Language of God, Metagenics and the Bible, and writes poetry and music. She has lived in the Middle East, and travelled throughout the world giving workshops on Biblical Interpretation, World Religion, church leadership, spiritual teamwork, and personal fulfillment. She currently lives in Virginia with her husband Larry and her cat, Sophia, where she enjoys walking in nature, playing the piano, gardening, visits with the grandchildren, and Zooming with friends and family.
